Pin Easter Centerpiece for Later
1. When Creating a Centerpiece, Always Start with your Base
No matter what your centerpiece is for, you will always need a base. In this case, the base of my Easter centerpiece is my wooden tray from Hobby Lobby. I use this tray all year round on our kitchen table and tweak for the holidays. Some other examples for bases would be a basket, a cutting board or a vintage wooden box. If you need more ideas, check out my Kitchen Centerpiece post.
2. Once you have your base for your Centerpiece, Decorate it!
Once you establish your base, it’s time for the fun part! I decided to leave my black stand with the glass dome and candle as a focal point and then fill the tray with my DIY Easter eggs. Why don’t you use my tutorial and make some of your own? It’s a fun craft to do while watching TV or hanging with the kids. Not interested in the DIY eggs? Toss some plastic ones in there and call it a day! As I am writing this post, I realize I might need to mix some green Easter basket grass with the eggs next year. How cute would that be? You could also fill your centerpiece with faux carrots too. Check out what I did with some faux carrots for inspiration on my Decorating for Easter post.
3. Once your Centerpiece Base is finished, add a Table Runner
A fun Easter table runner is like the cherry on top! It’s not necessary for your Easter centerpiece, but it sure is cute and will help tie everything together. My Easter runner is new to my Easter collection. I like to add one or two pieces a year. Can you believe I found this runner at Walmart?! I actually found it cheaper on Amazon and linked it above, Usually I leave my everyday runner on the table which works great too.
