Let me help you organize your kitchen by sharing my best organization tips, tricks, and hacks! Kitchens are the hub, so let’s organize them.
Do you ever feel like you spend more time rummaging through your kitchen drawers and cabinets than you do making your meals? Let me help you organize your kitchen!
Life is better when your kitchen flows effortlessly. The kitchen is the hub of your home and where most of your time is spent. If the kitchen is a mess, then we are a mess.
My husband and I’s first home was rather small with very little storage, so you can consider me a kitchen organization expert. You don’t have to have a Pinterest mansion to be organized.
Below is a list of products I consider A MUST when organizing a kitchen, as well as tips and tricks on how to keep your kitchen flowing nicely.
This post is all about how to organize your kitchen!

How to Organize your kitchen and Keep it that Way
1. Pots & Pans Organizer
This organizer is a game changer! While cooking, I prefer one-handed operations. I am efficient, not lazy ;)! This organizer allows me to select my pot or pan effortlessly while maximizing our cabinet space. I love products that not only help me organize but also help me STAY ORGANIZED! I bought this organizer about a year ago this cabinet still looks this nice without any keep up!
2. Kitchen Table Tray
A table tray not only serves as a cute centerpiece, but it’s practical too. I love decor with purpose! The tray stores commonly used items in plain sight while keeping the countertop clear. As you can see, we use this tray to hold our salt and pepper shakers and our fruit bowl, but you could also use it to hold a napkin holder, toothpicks, a candle, small basket to hold keys and wallet, or other commonly used items. I also like that I only have to grab one thing when clearing the table.

3. Towel Basket
We lost some drawer space with our current kitchen which means we lost our “towel drawer”. This cute basket allows us to continue storing our towels in the kitchen and saves us a trip to the linen closet. Again, I’m efficient, not lazy.
Notice my towels are rolled and not folded? Rolling our towels makes it easier to see and quicker to fold. This way I can make sure to use the prettier and less-stained towels when guests come over.
4. LAZY SUSAN
I love lazy susans so much that I dedicated an entire blog post to them! You can read it here. Check it out to see my DIY version. A lazy susan has great functionality by allowing you to use corners effectively and keep spaces tidy. Here’s a link to the lazy susans I have. Now my peanut butter won’t get shoved to the back of the pantry causing me to buy 6 jars. Now, I just do a quick little spin to check inventory when making our grocery list.
Free Kitchen Conversion Chart Printable
I’m not sure if I should count this as an organization tip, but this cheat sheet sure makes meal prep flow a lot easier! My FREE kitchen conversion chart printable is your new best cooking buddy! We use it every time we cook. I taped it to the back of our cabinet so we can easily access it at any point during meal prep. Click here for your free copy!
5. Mail Organizer
I finally surrendered to the endless stack of mail constantly taking over our counter and bought this cute mail organizer. When clutter is inevitable, try “putting a bow on it” by corralling the like-items in a basket, container or organizer. Now I don’t feel the need to nag at the hubs for cluttering our countertop with “junk”.
6. Canisters
I prefer my countertops to remain as clear as possible, but these cute canisters give us more space in our cabinets and pantry. I recently added these retro labels with my new embossing label maker! However, I would suggest getting the canisters with a wider opening to make it easier when using measuring spoons.
Side note, I am totally geeking out about this label maker. It’s a quick and easy way to label anything and everything and I love the way it looks. It’s also super cheap!
7. Pantry Door Organizer
I was able to clear out an entire kitchen cabinet because of this beauty! A pantry door organizer can save you lots of space and I highly recommend you invest in one! Here’s one I found on amazon. Having our spices in one space at MY eye level is way more practical then having to grab the stepladder every time I make a meal (I know, short girl problems).
Side note..
Did you notice my cute shelves?
Would you believe me when I say this shelving upgrade cost me less than $10 total!?!? Believe it! I can not stand wire shelving, but Alex has plenty on his honey-do list. I would love to replace all our shelving with wood, but this is my solution for the meantime using foamboard and contact paper. It makes a huge difference and was super easy to do. I think I may do this to every single one of our closets! Check out the tutorial on my pantry organization post.
8. Drawer Dividers
I can’t stand digging in a drawer to find my favorite spatula! These drawer dividers often pop up on my Amazon account, but I didn’t think they would make a difference. I finally caved in and purchased a set. I wish I would have bought them sooner because they provide so much flexibility when arranging drawers.

I really liked the pan stacking shelf idea, from one “efficient” homemaker to another.
