Ever have the best intentions to do your laundry, but quickly become overwhelmed by the scary mountain of dirty clothes and unorganized chaos that is your laundry room? It’s nearly impossible to be productive when your space is a mess. Sure, laundry stinks (sometimes literally), but I guarantee a chaotic and cluttered laundry room will only make things worse! Let me help you organize your laundry room. I promise my tips will make your laundry routine run seamlessly and give you more time to do LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE! Lets get organized!

Sorting laundry is time consuming, which makes this hamper a game changer! Let’s face it, when our chores become more efficient, we are more likely to complete them. I use this laundry sorter to divide my bulkier items like towels and linens. A full basket is equivalent to one load of laundry, so when a basket fills up I know it is time to throw a load into the washer.

My wardrobe is unfortunately high maintenance and I can hardly throw any of my clothes into the dryer. I use this tension rod to hang dry my delicate (more like cheap) clothing. Before, I had clothes draping across every piece of furniture in the house, and now I can keep it in one space. I like that it’s hung higher than my wire shelf to keep clothes out of my way.

Eventually, we will replace our standard wire shelving for a set of cabinets, but in the meantime I use these beautiful water hyacinth baskets. The baskets hide the bulkier items like our steamer and iron along with their pesky cords. I don’t store our commonly used items in these baskets (I’m too short ), but I use them to stash extra bottles of bleach and other supplies. Keep reading to see what I use for the daily-used items.

This might be an obvious one, but always keep an empty laundry basket handy. I use it to keep my clothes off the floor when switching loads or removing hang-dry items. Bonus, it conceals a ginormous blemish on our (hand-me-down) dryer.

This cart is the best and it fits perfectly between my machines! I use it to store all my essentials at arm’s reach. The cart contains my pods, bleach, stain remover spray, and other items like grocery bags and the lint roller. Super handy!
