Pumpkins!!!!
PUMPKINS! You can never have enough pumpkins during fall! If you ask me, the more pumpkins you have the better it looks – more the merrier! You can use smaller pumpkins as fillers for things like a dough bowl or lantern and larger ones as standalone decor. I love them in all shapes and sizes. Instead of wasting money on real pumpkins year after year, I like to invest in a few faux pumpkins each fall and mix them in with rest of my collection. I usually snag a few real pumpkins from a local farmer or Walmart too.
Foam Pumpkin Makeovers
This foam pumpkin DIY was a blast! I strolled past these foam pumpkins year after year due to the aggressively bright orange. I’m ashamed my inner DIY-er didn’t kick in until this year! I made up for it by ordering an entire case from Dollar Tree. Some of these DIYs are super quick and others are more time consuming. Pick your poison and have some fun! Check out my super cheap refinished Dollar Tree foam pumpkins.
Pillow Covers
Pillow covers are one of my favorite holiday decorating hacks because they are a lot cheaper and way easier to store. This “hack” especially came in handy when we lived in our first home that had very little storage and no basement. Amazon has lots to choose from. I really like pairing my buffalo plaid ones with my fall pillows.
DIY Fall Pillow Covers
I even have a DIY fall pillow cover I just recently created a tutorial for. It cost me $5 to make and it will be so easy to store when I switch my decor! I just love this farmhouse fall design and the lumbar shape. Check out my DIY fall pillow cover here!
Throw Blankets
Nothing says “cozy fall” like a few throw blankets! I love draping throw blankets over chairs and baskets and finishing the look with an accent pillow. As of right now, I don’t even have strictly fall blankets, so I just use my everyday neutral ones with my fall pillows and other decor.
Signage
If your home isn’t screaming fall loud enough, add a few fall signs to speak for you. You can find signs made of any material, a few of my favorites are metal, wood and canvas. Be sure to mix up your textures and colors for the most beautiful displays.
DIY Fall Signage
If you decide to make your own fall signage, I have a super easy way to make DIY reversed canvas signs with an optional shiplap twist. It’s a great way to make the exact sign you want or need for particular space. You get to pick the size, color, text!
Fall Wreaths
A fall wreath is the perfect way to start making your space look more festive. If you’re not into going all out for this season, a wreath is the perfect place to start and end your fall decorating. No shame in keeping it simple… I just don’t have that gene lol. You can buy one oooooooor you can make one! Check out a few of my cheap and easy fall wreath DIYs below.
Wheat Wreath
Excitement is an understatement for how I felt about our first fall at the farm last year. I scrolled Pinterest for fall decor inspo for months. The wheat wreath flooded my feed and I instantly fell in love with the natural texture of them. I love the warmth they bring into any room. My DIY-er kicked in and quickly decided, “I could totally make that for a lot cheaper!” The rest is history! Check out my super easy tutorial here.
Hoop Wreath
Are you team neutral this season? I am leaning that way! Either way, this DIY hoop wreath is a must! It is so easy and inexpensive that you will never want to buy a wreath again and not to mention how pretty it will look on your door! I love mixing white pumpkins with greenery because it creates a soft delicate look. For all my DIY newbies and doubters, this one is for you! You can totally handle this DIY! Check out the fall hoop wreath tutorial here.
Pumpkin Wreath
If you frequent your local Dollar Tree as much as I do, chances are you’ve seen their pumpkin wreath form pop up every year as I have. Well, this year I decided to pick one up in an attempt to make a pumpkin wreath that’s actually tasteful and not cheesy… no offense, but there are a lot of cheesy pumpkins out there! Check out my tutorial here!
